We Care Staffing is a leading Nursing Agency providing care professionals to the health care organisations in ACT, NSW and Victoria. We currently seek experienced CSSD Technicians to work with our reputed clients in the Canberra region.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the care, handling and reprocessing of reusable medical devices within the Sterilizing Services Department.

Skills and experience:

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services

  • Experienced Instrument Technician with current knowledge of all aspects of Sterilising Services and the requirements of AS/NZS 4187

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in the Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) with cleaning, decontaminating, sorting, and assembling surgical instrument trays

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent customer services skills and time management skills

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a nurse (highly desirable)

  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team/lead a team.

  • Ability to be flexible for shifts without restrictions and work in different environments each shift

  • Provide two professional referees.
